Capt. Dan Petersen is a USCG Licensed Charter Boat Captain. His big water fishing began growing up Salmon and Lake Trout fishing off the Wisconsin shores of Lake Michigan.
He also gained offshore experience fishing on the Puget Sound and Pacific Coast in Washington State in pursuit of Salmon and Lingcod while in the Army at Ft. Lewis.
After retiring from the Army he added to his offshore experience fishing Atlantic reefs out of Murrels Inlet South Carolina where he targeted reef species, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Mahi-Mahi,
He finally settled in the Pensacola Bay area where he focuses on nearshore reef fishing. His passion for fishing the reefs has been described as patient, persistent, and at least one person has stated "he seems angry at the Red Snapper".
We provide licenses, gear, bait, light snacks, and bottled water.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or visor, and any additional food or drink you desire. Alcohol is permitted, but be aware that I will return to port if the trip turns into a drunkfest.
No drugs, to include Marijuana even if you have a Medical Card. Neither the FWC or the US Coast Guard are amused or impressed when a fisherman whips out a Medicinal Marijuana Card. Drugs will turn the trip into an unpleasant FWC and/or USCG training event.

We only do one trip a day to ensure we can accommodate your schedule and get you on the fish when the bite is on. This also means we're focused on your trip and not rushing to run the next group out like many other charters and head boats.
Our fishing platform is a meticulously maintained 2020 Sea Hunt Gamefish 25 with dual Garmin 1242xsv multi-function displays, Garmin 18xHD radar, a Minn Kota iPilot 112lb thrust trolling motor to hold us on the fish, and TACO outriggers for any trolling endeavors. There is a marine head aboard the vessel, fresh water holding tank, 2 livewells, and plenty of fish boxes to keep your food, water, drinks, and fish on ice.
The boat is stocked with Penn rod and reel combos. We bring a couple medium heavy spinning rigs along in the event we spot some Cobia or Bonito and have the opportunity to sling a bait or two at them.
We are on a mission to get you where the most reef action is occurring and target reef species. On the days we limit quickly we can shift to trolling for species in season with King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, and Bonito being potential targets.
